There is a lot for the young children and teenagers to do. Nearby are playgrounds and the safe estuary beaches.
The Adventure Park at nearby Wallington is Victoria’s largest water theme park.
Beaches are fantastic; from safe estuary sandy beaches with playgrounds near the town centre, to ocean surf beaches. The Barwon River and Lake Conneware can be explored on small boats and by walking and bicycle. The estuary is ideal for paddle boarding, and fishing from numerous vantage points and jetties. The sand dunes and ocean beach state park from Barwon Heads to Point Lonsdale Lighthouse provide an uninterrupted walk to the historic Port Phillip heads. In the other direction, the surf of Thirteenth Beach beckons, all within walking or cycling or a short drive distance.
